1. Who we are

Expandable Homes NZ and RexVan Home (“we,” “us,” “our”) are the same business, with one showroom in Pukekohe and one team. We operate the websites expandablehome.co.nz and rexvanhome.co.nz, and talk with customers through web chat, Facebook Messenger and email. This policy covers all of them.

2. Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, book a viewing, register at our showroom, or ask for a configuration to be sent to you, we collect what you enter:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• The home model you are interested in, a preferred viewing date, and any message
• The configuration and price you built, if you sent it from the configurator
• Whether you ticked the box to receive marketing emails, when you did, and the exact wording you were shown

When you talk with us through web chat or Facebook Messenger, we collect:

• The messages you send us
• Any contact information you choose to give (name, email, phone number)
• Which home models you express interest in
• On Messenger, your Facebook Page-Scoped ID (PSID), which identifies you to our Page

Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used and whether our ads work. They set cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner; if you decline, Google receives only cookieless measurement signals, such as that a page was viewed or a form was sent. If you accept cookies and then submit a form, a hashed (one-way encrypted) copy of your email address and phone number is also sent to Google Ads, which uses it to measure whether your enquiry came from one of our ads.

3. How we use your information

We use the information collected to:

• Respond to your enquiries about our products and services
• Schedule viewings and follow up on your interest
• Maintain internal customer relationship records
• Improve our customer service and our website

Marketing emails. We send news, new models and offers by email only to people who have ticked the box on one of our forms to say yes. Leaving it unticked does not affect your enquiry — we will still reply and follow it up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time using the details below.

4. Automated processing

Our web chat and Messenger service use an AI assistant to provide initial responses to customer enquiries. The AI has access to our product knowledge base and may save your contact details to our CRM system when you provide them. A human team member may review conversations and take over at any time.

5. Data storage & security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in New Zealand. We retain enquiry and conversation history for customer service purposes, and keep your marketing choice with your enquiry so we can show when and how you gave it. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Meta (Facebook) — Messenger Platform for message delivery
• DeepSeek — AI language model for automated chat responses
• Zoho — Email services for confirmation and follow-up messages, and Zoho Campaigns for sending marketing emails to people who have opted in and managing unsubscribes
• Google — Google Analytics and Google Ads, for website and advertising measurement (see section 2)

If you choose to apply for finance on our Finance page or product pages, the application form is provided by Penny (PennyCRM) and the details you enter go to our finance partner Nobilo Finance. That information is collected and handled under Penny’s privacy notice. The form is only loaded when you open it.

7. Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of your personal information
• Request deletion of your personal information

You can also withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time, with the unsubscribe link in any of those emails or by contacting us. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
